Photocells
We advise that infrared photocells are used to create a beam
across the gate opening and at the extremity of the gate swing.
Should the beam be broken during the operation of gates, the
gates will remain open or closed until the beam has been cleared.
This application is particularly useful when gates are set into
automatic closing to prevent the gates closing onto vehicles
or pedestrians.
Photocells are optional but we strongly recommend gates should
not be set to automatic closing without either photocells or
vehicle detection loops being present.
Vehicle Detection Loops
Magnetic vehicle detection loops may be set in the ground
to provide safety in place of photocells or to provide free
exit or entry in the gate area without the use of hand transmitters.
Sensitive Safety Edges
The infrared photoelectric safety edges ensure a very efficient
response to the multiple active protection needs required
by current safety standards. Safety is guaranteed even if
the rubber cover is cut or deteriorated, thanks to the infrared
beam used for detection. We have installed sensitive edges
on closing faces of sliding gates and where gates swing open
towards restricted areas.
